About Olea

Olea Fine Jewelry is a founder-curated fine jewelry boutique specializing in independent designers, custom jewelry, heirloom redesign, and meaningful everyday pieces. We believe jewelry should be worn, loved, and become part of your story. Our boutiques are thoughtfully curated to inspire clients while creating a warm, welcoming experience built on trust, education, and genuine relationships.

As Olea continues to grow with locations in Encinitas and Phoenix, we're looking for someone who is passionate about people, beautiful design, and delivering an exceptional luxury retail experience.

About the Role

As a Fine Jewelry Sales Associate, you will be one of the faces of Olea. More than simply making sales, you'll guide clients through some of life's most meaningful purchases, whether they're selecting an everyday necklace, designing a custom engagement ring, celebrating an anniversary, or reimagining a family heirloom.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves connecting with people, has an eye for style, and thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment. This is an opportunity to become part of a growing independent business where your ideas, initiative, and contribution truly matter.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional, personalized client experience from the moment a client walks through the door.
  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships that create loyal clients for life.
  • Develop and maintain your own book of business through thoughtful follow-up, outreach, styling appointments, thank-you notes, and ongoing client communication.
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to the overall success of the boutique.
  • Develop expert knowledge of our designers, gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, custom jewelry process, fragrances, and product offerings.
  • Assist clients with custom jewelry projects, engagement rings, repairs, redesigns, and special orders.
  • Confidently educate clients on craftsmanship, materials, care, and the stories behind our designers.
  • Maintain beautiful merchandising and ensure showcases remain organized, fully stocked, and visually inspiring.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving merchandise, tagging, opening and closing procedures, and daily boutique operations.
  • Participate in vendor trainings and continue expanding your product knowledge.
  • Assist with boutique events, trunk shows, and client appreciation events.
  • Create content and participate in social media when needed.
  • Represent Olea with professionalism, warmth, integrity, and enthusiasm both in-store and online.

The Ideal Candidate

You are someone who...

  • Loves people and naturally enjoys building genuine relationships.
  • Is passionate about sales and understands that exceptional service is the foundation of every successful sale.
  • Is confident, personable, and enjoys helping clients celebrate meaningful moments.
  • Takes pride in developing long-term client relationships rather than simply completing transactions.
  • Has strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Is organized, dependable, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Is excited to continually learn about fine jewelry, gemstones, designers, craftsmanship, and styling.
  • Is comfortable using POS systems, texting clients, email, social media, and other client communication tools.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced boutique environment where no two days are the same.
  • Works well independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Treats Olea as if it were their own business, taking pride in every client interaction, every sale, and every detail within the boutique.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous luxury retail, fine jewelry, bridal, or boutique sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining a personal client book.
  • Strong sales track record with the ability to consistently achieve goals.
  • Passion for fashion, art, design, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.
  • Weekend availability and flexibility to work occasional evening events.

Why You'll Love Working at Olea
